Questions

During the job application process, you may be asked to answer questions that enable the hiring authority to:

Read each question carefully. Then, answer it to the best of your ability. Once you are happy with your answers, click OK.

Types of Answers

Depending on the question, the page can display any of several methods for you to provide a response.

Text Box

For questions that require you to write an answer in your own words, a text box displays.

For text boxes that require a numerical response, or a response that is a number range, enter only numbers (plus [+] and minus [-] signs are also valid). All other characters are considered invalid, including dollar signs ($) and commas (,). Entry of invalid characters could cause your answer to be scored as incorrect.

i

Avoid "see resume." When you answer text questions, don't enter "see resume", "provided in my resume", or similar statements. Although this may be an acceptable technique for answering questions on paper job applications, providing that response here can put you at a disadvantage. Some employers have the system rate answers to text questions by looking for certain words or phrases in your response.

Multiple Choice

For some questions, you can chose an answer from a list of possible correct responses. Just select the radio button that precedes your answer choice.

Yes/No and True/False

Some questions you can only answer with yes or no, true or false. Select the appropriate radio button to indicate your answer to these questions.

What ever option the page presents, relax, read the questions carefully, and do your best. Good luck!
