The Forgot Password option on the Login page sends an email that helps you set up a new password for your account. For some career sites, the email contains a link that allows you to specify a new password for your account. For other career sites, the email contains a temporary password that can be used to login to your account.

Password Recovery Question and Answer. For some career sites, you provided a security question and answer when you registered. In this case, you must provide the answer exactly as it was typed during registration before the system will send you a password recovery email. This email contains a temporary password to log into your account. You should change this temporary password as soon as you log in. |

Why a new password? For security reasons, all password files are specially encrypted. Even the system itself can't read your original password in a way that allows it to be repeated back to you. What it can do is reset your account to accept a new password. |
