Manually Enter a Resume

On this page, you can manually type or use a copy-and-paste operation to provide a resume.

Update Resume and/or Contact Information

If you have Resume Extraction enabled, the resume information you manually enter can be used to update the resume you have on file, the contact information in your Personal Preferences page, or both. Indicate what you want to update by selecting the corresponding check box(es) beneath the text box.

Manual Entry

Click once inside the text box to position your cursor for input. Type in all necessary resume information.

Copy and Paste Entry

If you want, you can copy any text you want to enter from an outside file and then paste it in the box.

Important! The resume entry text box only accepts ASCII text. If you copy and paste text from a word processing, desktop publishing, or other application, no format instructions survive the paste operation.

Next, use the Language of Resume menu to indicate the language in which your resume is written.

Resume Confirmation

When you complete your entry, click OK. If Resume Extraction is not enabled on the site you are viewing, the system directs you to the Candidate Home page and informs you that your resume was successfully updated.

If Resume Extraction is enabled for your site, clicking OK directs you to the Resume Information page, where you can confirm that the resume information you entered is correct and make changes, if necessary. Depending on whether you selected to update your resume, your contact information, or both, the Resume Information page will auto-populate as follows:

Previewing Your Resume

Once you complete this page, you can preview your resume as it appears for prospective employers. To do this, return to the Resume Options page and either click the view your resume link at the top of the page or simply scroll down; your resume text appears at the bottom of this page.
